PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide backup support for teachers who are absent from work at various locations.
  • Deliver instructions and help students understand the lesson.
  • Assume responsibility for a class and perform the tasks of the absent teacher.
  • Implement lesson plans that align with curriculum and learning objectives set by teachers and provide the monitoring of adult students and classroom management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience teaching adult population.

 

  • New York State Certification in Adult Education, English Language Learning Instructor or be qualified to apply for certification.

 

  • Must be available to teach in the evening.

 

  • May include weekends
