Job Description

PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with CTE content area teachers to plan, deliver, and assess content-rich lessons which will qualify students to earn science credit through integration in CTE classes.
• Partner with CTE teachers to identify, map, and seamlessly integrate NYS P-12 Science Learning Standards into existing career and technical curricula.
• Collaborative design, review, and alignment of CTE course materials, project-based learning units, and assessments to ensure rigorous science integration.
• Work alongside the interdisciplinary consultant team to design and deliver targeted Professional Development workshops focused on integrated instructional strategies using data driven approaches.
• Actively participate in regular team, departmental, and strategic planning meetings to share best practices and monitor program alignment.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• New York State Teaching Certification: Science 7 – 12
• Minimum 3 years experience as a science teacher
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
• Dual certifications in any science area
