Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Provide backup support for teachers who are absent from work at various locations.
• Deliver instructions and help students understand the lesson.
• Assume responsibility for a class and perform the tasks of the absent teacher.
• Implement lesson plans that align with curriculum and learning objectives set by teachers and provide the monitoring of adult students and classroom management.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Experience teaching adult population.
• New York State Certification in Adult Education or K – 12.
• Must be able to substitute for ESL, GED, and Citizenship classes.
