We are seeking an Educational Technology Senior Facilitator to support educators in integrating technology into their teaching practices across Pre-K to 12^th-grade levels. The role involves providing training and support on educational technology tools, aligning technology with curriculum standards, and collaborating with teachers to enhance instructional strategies. PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and deliver professional learning opportunities for teachers, administrators, and district leaders that align with New York State curriculum standards and support instructional goals through the effective use of digital learning solutions.
• Support teachers, administrators, and district leaders in the implementation and use of formative assessment practices, benchmark assessments, and MTSS frameworks to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
• Provide training, coaching, and support for online assessment and instructional platforms, including but not limited to Renaissance, NWEA, and i-Ready.
• Assist teachers, administrators, and district leaders in analyzing and applying assessment data to support instructional planning, intervention strategies, program evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay current with New York State educational initiatives, assessment practices, and digital learning tools to provide relevant guidance and support to school districts.
• Research instructional software in all areas of the curriculum supporting the New York State Standards, especially in Reading and Math.
• Demonstrates leadership in understanding MTSS and guides district leadership teams in using designated applications appropriately, as outlined in their MTSS plans.

• Reviews available software with educational partners to ensure alignment with curriculum and subject areas.

• Conducts software reviews with districts and aligns products to curriculum and subject areas (i.e. productivity software, Renaissance, Imagine Learning, IXL, solutions etc.).

• Creates presentations to share with district administrators and/or teachers detailing plans for using educational technology to enhance classroom instruction in the district.

• Develops and maintains clear documentation for each district and/or department in order to plan future training sessions and provide effective training.

• Implements district educational technology plans.

•  Is comfortable coaching teachers and administrators face-to-face, online, and in hybrid learning environments

Job Qualifications

CIVIL SERVICE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Either: (a) Associate's Degree* and four (4) years of experience where the primary function of the position was conducting training using educational technology**; or (b) Bachelor's Degree* and two (2) years of experience as outlined in (a); or (c) Master's Degree* and one (1) year of experience as outlined in (a).
• SUBSTITUTION:  A Bachelor’s Degree* in Education and possession of current teacher’s certification may be substituted for one (1) year of the above stated required experience
• DEFINITION: Educational technology is defined as a variety of technological tools (e.g., Smartboards, Internet, cable television in the classroom, DVD players, digitized video, personal computers and related equipment, such as scanners, printers, etc.) used in order to improve and enhance classroom instruction.
• SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT IN SCHOOL DISTRICTS: In accordance with the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation, Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and by the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, candidates for appointment in school districts must obtain clearance for employment from the State Education Department prior to employment based upon a fingerprint and criminal history background check.
• Priority given to candidates who are currently on a Civil Service List for this title. Candidates must have either taken or be eligible to take the civil service exam for this title.
