Job Description

PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates students that are candidates for physical therapy services.
• Carries out implementation of specific therapy and/or therapeutic recommendations for individual students.
• Provides consultation to parents regarding the specific therapy techniques employed in the education setting.
• Participates in curriculum development focusing on incorporating and maintaining the therapeutic perspectives necessary.
• Completes appropriate IEP documents on all students involved in therapy.

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with a variety of student disabilities.
• Ability to work with an itinerant caseload/assignment.
• Possession of current license/registration issued by NYS Education Department to practice as a physical therapist.
