Job Description

PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instructional leadership of all aspects of Career and Technical Education programs.
  • Lead, monitor, coordinate and oversee all aspects of school safety.
  • Evaluate and supervise administrative, certified, and classified staff.
  • Develop, lead and implement systems to manage and motivate students.
  • Identify, collect, manage, monitor and analyze student achievement data, from industry exams, for use in instructional decision making, program development and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in, and lead, the planning and implementation of professional development for staff.
  • Oversee and manage the program budget.
  • Consistently communicate with parents and districts.
  • Lead, coordinate and oversee NYSED program approvals and re-approvals.
  • Facilitate all aspects of the administration of industry exams.
  • Assist in the coordination of college articulation agreements.
  • Supervise student government and other campus-wide student programs.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Assistant Principal, and staff of the Center for Career Services in the development of new programs and industry partnerships and Work-Based Learning opportunities.
  • Ensure quality student service programs (i.e., attendance, discipline, special services, schedules, and emergency procedures).
  • Serve as visionary and inclusive leader who builds systems to intentionally support our diverse student population socially, emotionally and academically.
Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • New York State teaching certification (CTE preferred).
  • New York State administrative certification (SBL, SDL, SAS, or SDA).
  • Minimum of three (3) years in school administration.
  • Supervisory experience in career and technical high school programs preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience as a visionary and collaborative teacher and leader with a philosophy of continual improvement.
  • The ability to develop and strengthen partnerships with component school districts, as well as with Westchester County Workforce Development and Regional Economic Development agencies.
